A returning creative relationship

SWIM returned to Upperland Studio on October 22, 2026. These studio photographs document the latest visit, adding another chapter to the group’s earlier LED-wall shoots. The photographs show this session; the official channel links are a route to SWIM’s released catalogue and do not identify a released title for this new shoot.

Meet the artists behind the images

SWIM — Someone Who Isn’t Me is a Vancouver, Canada music collaboration between vocalist Chase and producer Nick. Their official YouTube introduction describes a friendship that began long before the project. Follow the official channel, listen on Spotify or Apple Music, and see their own updates on Instagram.

The six-video selection below includes Off The Edge, Burn It Down, Fantasy, Missed Calls, Painful with Ja¥en X District, and Synergy. Each player leads to the original release. Missed Calls also retains the original description’s co-production credit to @prodaram and video credit to @tyrellcastro. Those credits belong to that work; they do not identify the crew for the October return.

A relationship documented by both sides

Upperland’s October 31, 2025 behind-the-scenes post describes SWIM performing on the LED stage, with ocean, fire and twilight imagery. SWIM replied publicly to thank the studio for hosting them. The earlier articles, that exchange and the new on-set photographs show a continuing filming relationship, while SWIM’s own channels remain the source for their music and release credits.

City colour and a different silhouette

One setup places the performer against a colourful city at night. Another uses pale abstract shapes, allowing the dark figure and microphone to become the main graphic elements. The wider photographs also show softboxes, stands and the filming area, so the finished direction can be understood alongside the practical setup.

For your own performance shoot, compare the separation between the artist and the background in each look. Decide whether the face should be lit or the body should read as a silhouette, then discuss foreground lighting and camera exposure with your crew.
