How to Book Your Graduation Session
Planning your graduation shoot at Upperland Studio is straightforward. Here is how to make the most of your session:
Bring Your Cap and Gown
Make sure your graduation regalia is clean, pressed, and ready. If you have honour cords, stoles, medals, or other accessories, bring those too. We have a small changing area and full-length mirror available on-site so you can make final adjustments before stepping in front of the LED wall.
Choose Your Backgrounds in Advance
To maximize your studio time, browse our environment library before your session and select 3–5 backdrops you love. If you have a specific scene in mind that is not in our library — a particular campus building, a famous landmark, a fantasy landscape — let us know at least 48 hours in advance and we will prepare it for you.
1–2 Hour Sessions Recommended
For most individual graduation shoots, one hour provides plenty of time for 3–5 different backdrops, multiple poses, and even a short video clip. If you are bringing family members or friends for group shots, or want to create a more elaborate video project, a two-hour session gives you the breathing room to try more creative concepts without feeling rushed.

Can I bring my own photographer?
Absolutely. Many clients bring their own photographer or videographer. We provide the LED wall, lighting, Unreal Engine environments, and technical support. Your photographer handles the creative direction and camera work. We are also happy to recommend experienced photographers who are familiar with LED wall shooting if you need one.
How many backdrops can I use in one session?
There is no limit. Scene changes on the LED wall take just seconds, so you can use as many backdrops as you want within your booked time. In a typical one-hour session, most clients comfortably use 4–6 different environments. In a two-hour session, you could easily explore 8–12 scenes or more.
Can I do group photos?
Yes. Our LED wall is 7 metres wide and 4 metres tall, which comfortably accommodates groups of up to 8–10 people. Whether it is family portraits, friend group shots, or a photo with your entire graduating cohort, we can set up the perfect scene. For larger groups, please contact us in advance so we can optimize the lighting and backdrop framing.
How far in advance should I book?
